What you can paste

Taobao & Tmall item pages

item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=… and detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=… — the ID is what we need.

JD item pages

item.jd.com/…html. JD listings are quoted the same way as Taobao ones.

Mobile links

m.tb.cn and a.m.taobao.com links are accepted. If an item does not load, paste its desktop URL (item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=…) instead — share links sometimes carry no item ID and there is nothing to look up.

Links with tracking parameters

Coupon and share links carrying extra parameters are fine — we strip the noise and price the item itself.

What does not work, and why

  • Search result pages, category pages and shop fronts. They are lists, not items — there is no single price to quote. Send the individual item links instead.
  • 1688 and Weidian. The box does not recognise them automatically yet. Put the link in the note field, or email support@mochibuy.com, and we will price it by hand.
  • Anything behind a login. If we cannot open the page, we cannot read the price. Screenshots of the item are a workable substitute.

What happens after you paste

    A person opens every link

    We do not guess from the URL. The item is fetched, the seller's current price is read, and the variant matrix is pulled so you can pick size and colour instead of describing them in an email.

    We price the exact variant you choose

    Two options on the same listing can differ by an order of magnitude — a sofa listed at ¥480 and the same sofa at ¥3,400 are both real. The quote follows the SKU you selected, not the headline price.

    We add the shipping

    Domestic freight inside China is quoted per seller. International shipping is by actual weight with a volumetric rule. We run 4 lines: 5-7 days, 8-14 days, 15-22 days, 23-35 days.

    You get one email, and nothing is charged

    Item, domestic freight, international freight and optional insurance arrive as one total in RMB, valid 72 hours. Nothing is charged until you reply to confirm — and if the number is wrong for you, you simply do not reply.

What the quote is made of

Five lines, no hidden sixth. Every figure below is a rule you can check against our published policy — freight is the only one quoted per parcel rather than stated here.

Domestic shippingWhat the seller charges to send the item to our warehouse in Wuhu. Some sellers ship free, some do not; it is quoted per seller, not per order.
International shippingCharged by actual weight, with a volumetric rule for bulky light goods. Quoted per parcel and per line, never a flat guess.
Insurance (optional)If you want it: 3% of declared value, minimum ¥15, cover capped at ¥2000 per item. Without it we still help you claim against the carrier, but cannot pay out ourselves.
StorageFree for 90 days, with 3 QC photos per item taken on arrival. This is what lets you buy from five different sellers and ship once.

Duty is the one thing we cannot put in the table: the 8–14 day line is operated as a tax-included channel, on the others any duty is assessed at import. Tell us the destination country in the quote form and we will say which line applies before you commit. See the shipping policy for the full wording.

Questions about the paste box

Do I need an account to get a quote?
No. An email address is the only thing we ask for, and it is the only way we reply — there is no sign-up, no password, and no app to install. The quote link we send works without logging in.
Which links can the box actually recognise?
Taobao and Tmall item pages that carry an item ID, and JD item pages. Links with tracking or coupon parameters also work — we strip the noise and price the item itself. Mobile share links (m.tb.cn, a.m.taobao.com) are accepted, but some of them carry no item ID, so if one does not load, paste the desktop URL instead. 1688 and Weidian links are not picked up automatically yet; put them in the note field or email us and we will handle them by hand.
Why is a shop page or a search page rejected?
Because there is no single price to quote. A search result or a shop front is a list of items, each with its own price, variants and seller. Send the individual item links instead — one per line — and each becomes its own line in the quote.
How many items can I paste at once?
There is no fixed cap. Practically, ten to twenty is comfortable to review in one go; for a larger batch, say so in the note field and we will treat it as a single order and quote it together.
Is the price shown after pasting the final price?
No — it is the seller's current listed price, and it exists so you can confirm we found the right item. The binding figure is the emailed quote, because freight, the exact SKU and the exchange rate are all settled there. Quotes are held for 72 hours.
What should I not paste into the box?
Anything with personal data in it — delivery addresses, order numbers, phone numbers. Paste product links only. Your links are used to price and buy your item; do not treat the note field as a private channel for sensitive information.
